bumped head - wwyd?

dd2 tripped backwards half an hour ago and fell onto a dollshouse, smashing fairly robust fence posts which went into her scalp... (nice)

anyway, nothing embedded, but two small 'wounds' - not sure how deep but bleeding/ seeping into her hair. having difficulty doing the usual 'pupils equal and reacting' nonsense as she has an alternating squint - she hasn't thrown up, says her head hurts (well, it would tbh) but seems ok...

she has cp, so difficult to spot 'unusual' signs - she stumbles/ slurs speech ordinarily.

i'm fairly certain it's just a normal childhood bump, but because it's in her hair at the back (and we're already contending with brain damage lol) i'm a bit nervy - not sure whether to get the doc to check her out. will they think i'm bonkers for taking a healthy 6yo to be checked because she's got a couple of scratches on her head?

I would go, just because I would rather they thought I was bonkers and be reassured than worry all night.

Hope she feels better x

yes, I would go to be on the safe side.

I'd go, they won't think you mad, they'll probably compliment you that you had the good sense to go and get checked out Head injuries, even slight ones, can get worse quite quickly from what I've heard so better to be safe than sorry

thought I would let you know she's fine...
