Meeting today with the head of the autism base ds attends. He is a lovely bloke who gives 200% to every child there but today I have to tell him he is getting some things really wrong for ds.He will be fine and apologetic and will work like mad to get them right but I always feel like I am kicking a puppy in these circumstances

Definitely, he's a good bloke and on paper bearing in mind all ds's difficulties he should be right. But ds never read the papers and so the theory doesn't necessarily work in practise.
Does make me feel very ungrateful though because he has worked like a trojan to enhance ds's school life experience and I am going to be basically saying back off, give him space, he couldn't give a toss about the extras he want to do his lessons and he wants time to chill
As ds said the head's idea of fun is ds's idea of hell Now I need to word it more sensitively
