Gotta laugh...was contacting all of the access consultancy Practices in the UK to find out what they do about autism in their audits and whether we can help them with any extra info. Most have been brilliant - really knowledgeable, want to know lots of things if they're fairly new to it, etc.

Then one of the most senior of them writes in to me this afternoon to say that they really can't be bothered to even look up info on autism - too much time and trouble, and they can do it all by just generalising anyway.

If you don't know what the disability needs are, how the heck do you know if a building is or isn't suitable for it, even if generalising?!

Takes all sorts to fill a world, I guess... But I do worry about what sort of reports their clients end up with.
