Thanks for everyone who posted re reading MRI scans - sorry I haven´t replied we have been moving and still aren´t back on the net properly.

We had the neuro oppoitment today and like I thought they just asked about her progress and if she had had any fits. But then unexpectedly prescribed Baclofen.

I thought Baclofen was used to control muscle spasms. The Dr prescribed it to help with the high tone in her legs .. but she seemed to have missed the low tone in her truck.

Any experiences/ thoughts. Thanks you so much

Thanks Riven, she has spastic quad with low tone in trunk and no spasms. She gets tired fairly easily am worried she will find it difficult to cope with her rather busy schedule of therapies. We have an OT appoitment in a couple of weeks, think I am going to have a chat to them too.

have a cha with your physio as well. the neuro dr wanted to prescribe it for ds but I was a bit unsure, then spoke to physio, who said it will make him more floppy on his good areas ie head control etc, and his spasticity itsn't huge, and No spasms (also SQ)
It can also make them very sleepy, a young lad I know takes it and he is always having a nap when we see him. but he also has botox which makes more of a difference to his legs (SD)

I was reading an article in the Guardian recently about baclofen - a French doctor thinks it helped with his alcoholism.
