my ds was a complette beast yesterday kinda understandable he had hospital the day before and was very tired. he refused to do anything he was asked, and sent home more than one teacher with a headache. anyway his rack sack turned up yesterday one of the ones with a parent strap (thank you, ladies for the surgestion) the walk to nursery was lovley it was like i did not need it, he never tried to pull away, and when we arrived he was invited to a birthday party, his very first one (i have been asked to stay as they are worried about his diet, i would have anyway)i wonder what he will be like.

Its lovely isnt it, to have a day when everything seems to just fall into place and go smoothly

With regards to birthday party, ds attended one, he spent most of the time doing his own thing, didnt eat, i saw him cringe a few times when children were running towards him, but i also saw him smile a few times watching the others playing together. So all in all, he enjoyed the party, just in his own way.

Im sure your ds will enjoy the party, just in his own way too

i'm sure he will to, i just worry about his behaviour, temper tantrums, when i tell him he can't eat chocolate ect. he oftern hits when told no and i know it should'nt bother me but when people look and start shaking there heads it does (when it's people i know)

but this morning was fab, i cant remember when it last went so smoothly.(grin)

Kitty, would it be possible to relax the chocolate rules for a special occasion or are there dire consequences if you do?

I know the shaking head feeling and its not nice is it! Ds has a water phobia and ive been taking him to swimming lessons (special pool with no deep end) 1st 2 weeks we just watched, 3rd week yesterday and he managed to actually get in the pool for a short period (fully clothed, instructed are aware of his problems) didnt stop other parents shaking their heads and one asking 'why has he got his clothes on' because he was cold i replied

i could but then he can't have any fruit or veg i guess it might not hurt if i balance everything else out.

wooooooooooooooo whooooooooooooooo for him getting into the pool, even if fully clothed. i alway say to everyone just ignore all the stares it's nobody else business but it's easier said than done. especially for me. love your reply to them there's not really much they can say to that is there.
