Can you give us a little bit more info? Just so we know what you need people to know about?

Don't know how to go into it being brief.
Son is down syndrome, sld, spd, heart and lung probs, nobility issues, sight and hearing probs, absence seizures, dxd traits of asd, adhd, odd, ocd, challenging behaviour etc etc.
In a nutshell school don't report any concerns with him, however in joke with school staff his problems arise. I am also told by parents in school that he sits in coridoors etc, so disbeleve whats being said. He is very much in control and if it's not on his agenda....forget it.
The ed psyc reports quite a lot of this, though school say it doesn't count for much as therewere staff abscences so he was unsettled? One sentence states " he is described as determined to follow his own agenda, but there are no other significant concerns"
Obs in school were, visits staff offices at inappropriate times, sat on floor and refused to move several times, finds transition difficult, staff use startegies shuch as barganing, coaxing and choice. he uses a lot of echolalia and repeated what may have been some learnt phrases.
He needs simplified language, visual symbols, help at transition times, short instructions and all profs working in close liasion.
Obviously I have kept this short my point is, school are saying this is not his usual presentation. This is the 1st written report that has ever sounded like him, unless it's been verbally with school.
He is 9yo. HTH x

Do you feel that this report could indicate that he needs more support and that backs up your own feelings? I do have to say that if he has such a big problem with staff absences then they need to have strategies in place for them rather than just using them for an excuse.

I would start writing down the verbal feedback you get. That's just as relevant as any other form and could build up a good picture to back up whatever you planning to ask for.

Hope that helps a bit.
