"there once was a boy with propensities,
for problems linguistic and sensory
they said "hmm, autistic?"
his mum went ballistic
and brainstormed on mumsnet intensively

by lingle aged 39 and a half.

I went to a Team Around Child
and subsequently gor rather riled
They sat on their chairs
though pretty unawares,
That all of their comments were filed.

and subsequently gor rather riled
They all sat on a chair
completely unaware,
That their comments were all being filed.

That's better.

This thread is far too delicious to resist!! Here's mine

There was a young lady from the L.A
Who busily worked illegally away
"No problems" she thought
"For I won't get caught"
And so she wouldn't, but for the D.P.A

There, I feel much much better now! Amazing how much truth can be packed into 5 little lines!

There once was a ridiculous school,
Whose HT would sit on a stool,
When the Governors were there,
They must sit on a child's chair,
So the HT showed who did rule.

I kid you not.......

With an ofsted outstanding report
Lots of parents and children it brought
If your child doesn't sit nice and still
And follow the neat school drill
Your children just can not be taught

Is this Local Authority a spoof,?
They say intervention has no need of proof,
We should not be measuring,
We simply must treasure him
Sadly this limerick has truth.

There was a cute blond little dude
Who in public could appear quite rude
He lay on the floors
And stimmed with the doors
Which did no good to his mummy's mood

Yet also the very same chap
Loves to cuddle and sit in your lap
He works hard every day
On his home ABA
Without even taking a nap!

When I questioned the progress he's making
With a smile she was very clearly faking,
Teacher said 'well you see,
he won't with ASD'
And I had to sit there just shaking.

So we took him to a much better school
And they reassured us he isn't a fool,
He progressed well with his talking,
His independence and walking,
So never take negativity as rule.

My boy he has ADHD
It's all in his brain, you see
He can't stop his clowning
Oh please stop your frowning
Now my head hurts ferociously.

Here's my ADHD boy
What tactics n strategies will you employ?
I think you'll find it quite tricky
To teach him, he's lippy
and all staff he will annoy.

Grin

DD said I was tired and grumpy
And that my face was also quite lumpy
Baby feeds all the night
Her and ds just fight
But it's true, I'm spectacularly frumpy Sad

There once was a breastfeeding mother
Her dd was in league with big brother
'I know!', said the child
'We'll fight! but quite mild'
So she can't tell t' one from t' other

In Hertfordshire county, in Sarratt
There used to sit Mr Chief Carrot
Till along came some mums
(Not quite baring their bums)
And they said, 'We'll teach you, dopey parrot!'

Looking back at this thread from back then
At my life in 2010
Makes me want to help more
Of the kids we adore
And so grateful that here I found friends

Loving this thread it's fantastic!! I really want to join in but sadly I lack the creative flair!

crazeelaydee thinks that she has no flair,
But I rather think that's unfair
She just has no time
To make up a rhyme
Coz she's too busy pulling out her hair!

They sit at the office computer
Mapping out my DS's future
They only consider
What they can't deliver
And their procrastination is super!

Here is my contribution

Yes I am 2old2beamum
And sure DH is a bum
But the kids are alright
Except at 2 in the night
When my God I wish they were dumb

There was a group of exhausted mums
Who refused to sit still on their bums.
Instead they battled and fought
For their dear child to be taught.
How I do love the MNSN warrior mums!
