We launched our website today--come and have a look. It's not perfect yet as we wrote all the copy in a rush, but we're still very proud.

Looks great Arabica. There are always too few parents prepared to put that sort of work in but it is so badly needed.

I've had a look through and I'm struck that you seem to have had to fight for parents to be on the Aiming High board. I think parents have been on ours from the start.

Is it also the case that you have only just got a parent rep on your parent participation group? If I'm right, Hackney sounds like it needs a kick up the arse...!

Hi DD. It was a bit of a struggle! Things got a lot easier when the new head of the disability/development centre arrived, but we still don't get told about decision-making bodies we could influence.

Thanks bundle, how are you?

Sorry Arabica, only just found your reply! I'm well thanks, now a member of our PaCC core group as didn't get much info just being a member. It's a lovely, welcoming group, but a lot of policy talk and I prefer talking about services - it's just more tangible. Still helping to run a small community group for families with disabled children which is hard work but very tangible.

Looking forward to a new website I am told is about to appear, with details of all the PaCC's nationally. It's good to link up

Hope you are well and this work is not knocking the stuffing out of you (as it can) xx
