Should have been with me 6 April. I even contacted last week to see would there be a delay with the Bank Holidays etc and was assured it would be with me by 6th. I even asked if it could be emailed as I was not at home (lie) and told yes. Still nothing. I have emailed and got no response. I am fuming. Have these people any idea what the waiting is like (started process last July!)but refusal to assess slowed everything down. It had better be worth the wait or I can feel a complaint coming on. Anyone else had delays like this? Thanks

No, sorry Mine arrived a few days early. But I think that is very unusual. I hope it comes soon for you.

Yes-Just drop them an email saying that you are considering asking your solicitor to start judicial review proceedings and will do so if you haven't received the draft proposed statement by 5pm on Friday 9th April. That will get them moving.

We were meant to get ours on the monday 15th feb -no sign of it ,phoned up on tuesday ,they said it was posted and we should definately get it...still nothing on wednesday so i phoned up and physically collected it and it came in the post thursday .this is all delay tactics so you have less time to appeal (15 days )i kept the envelope for the post mark as proof as we are appealing. It seems worse when it is half term because school etc is closed and you have no advice ,especially in our case when they put a school down that we never mentioned or visited .you are in limbo!!

It arrived in my inbox at 5pm today! Blamed delay on a management decision! Anyway they have suggested 20 hours additional resources with a TA (in addition to what the school already provide) and 10 blocks of SALT (minimum 20 hours over the school year). Should I be content with this? I honestly don't know. Will need to speak to SENCO at proposed school where he already goes for 2 hours nursery. At least it is here! Thanks for replies

It sounds good but the devil is in the detail, and whether it meets your child's need. Do contact one of the charities to go through the wording. The test when you read each statement is: 'if they didn't do this would they be accountable legally?'

So if they say you ds should 'have access to 20hours of TA', it doesn't mean he will have 1:1 of 20 hours dyswim?

THanks for that. WHat charity would you recommend I speak to?
