Special Needs Swing

Hi. My DD is almost 3 and for her birthday we would love to get her a garden swing but she cannot sit unaided and has little head control so we are going to have to pay loads more for a 'special' swing! Has anyone got one that you would recommend?

Thanks in advance

I've just been looking at swings for my ds and found these swing seats:

I would recommend the full support swing seat (3rd link above).

We bought one for DS (similar needs to your DD) when he was 4 and he has used it loads (still fits in it age 10).

It has a good 5 point harness and can be put on any swing frame. They often come up on ebay too!

Thanks for this, I have been looking on Special Needs Kids website but its nice to hear recommendations. Would you say the 5 point harness is enough to hold trunk control? As I see they sell a deluxe harness too, buts its an extra £29 we could do without spending if possible.

Thanks

There's a site called Rompa that do loads of stuff like this (but they are hideously expensive!)

My DD who is 9 can not sit unaided and the full support swing seat is really good for her although we do use a pillow to prop her up. They are great swing seats.
