Ours has been wonderful. She provided the school with loads of ideas and resources for helping DS1 with various things around school. She's since then, pulled strings to organise IT funding and support for DS1 and has helped with sourcing training for dealing with his meltdowns as he has become bigger and more challenging. She also attended the latest annual review and gave lots of advice on how best to secure a much needed change in banding and the increased funds that would come with it.

Hopefully, she will be advising how best to teach phonics to non-verbal DS2. He already has some grasp of phonics, from what we can make out, and appears to be academically on a level with his peers. There's just the complication of having him express that knowledge!

Ooooh, sounds fab. Mine told me that my expectations of ds were too high, but she's moved on and we have another who I have not yet met. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
