SN children

Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Would you hire a CM if they had SN experience but own SN child too??

Im struggling to keep going in current job and would rather be at home for my girls if possible but cant afford to give up work.

I have considered being a childminder, but while I like all children I always havew worked with SN children for the last 10 years. I have DD1 who has HFA but is at school allday. Would any parent with a child with SN consider me, or is it unlikely because I have my own SN child??

I love my work and the families I work with but dropping off the girls and travelling is very stressful

I would LOVE a CM like you :D DD has physical disabilities and is in the process of being assessed/getting asd diagnosis.
Finding childcare for kids like DD is nigh on impossible. Having other SN child there in my books would only ever be a plus, would prove to me instantly that you do indeed know what you're doing and could look after DD

lisa i think you would have a lot to offer - it's really difficult to explain things about asd to people who have no experience - that would be such a bonus to parents like us with diagnosed children - the fact that you have your own child with special needs would not really be an issue for me personally speaking - all the best with it!
