Both my girls have bowel issues which doctors have always put down to toddler constapition even though DD1 is now 7 . Someone recommend using acidophilus for bth of them. We used yacult with dd1, who has HFA which helped loads but was told the goodness stops when you stop drinking it, where as these acidophilus tablets are same as in yacult but stay in system longer.

So anyone know much about them>?

I buy bottle of the tablets in health food shops, I get bouts of oral thrush (stress related I think) and the pills shift it.

I wouldn't buy on-line, they seem safe enough as you can just waltz in and buy them, but I'd worry about getting ripped off. I'm glad they're helping dd1

I have used gut friendly bacteria with dd1 for a few years now.

she has had all sorts of issues, and is on a GF/CF diet too (which has been the biggest help in terms of sorting out her gut - added bonus is the language increase and anxiety decrease too!)

becasue of the dairy free element to dd1's diet, I can't use most easily obtained brands (most are milk based) and so have ad to buy online.

i use Nutri link - have used a nutritionist with htem, who helped sort out what supplements dd1 needed, and have just ordered form them. I'm sure I oculd find the products I use a bit cheaper, ut I find it easier to just order them all at once form the same people!

I hitnk if you buy online from a reputable place you're ok. But then I've kind of been forced into it, due to the need to find specific products!

If you don't have a health food shop near, I buy these ones so at least you know it's a reputable brand. They're big capsules but can presumably be emptied...

yeah I get the pink granule / powder stuff from fridge at health shop - about 14 quid a bottle

Use mainly cos dd is on constant antibiotics (prophilaxis)

Hi, for my boys I use Banana accidopholus powder from Biocare available through Nutricenter. You can link a Tesco Clubcard to it and collect points!
