I gave dd1 her Melitonian last night and she fell asleep after being really anxious about today (a birthday party), she was anxious about getting lost at softplay and people not wanting to play with her . Anyway she fell asleep after half an hour but was wide awake at 4, i had already been up with dd2 and was tired so i just told dd1 to go back to sleep and stop moaning and the climbed back into bed with Dh.

Dh got up this morning (7am) and dd1 was asleep on the stairs , she must have been there a while. I feel really guilty as i didn't hear her get up.

She's now grumpy as hell and we have a birthday party to go to in a couple of hours.

Poor you Marne, you must be exhausted too. Not a bad mummy, everyone would say 'back to bed' at 4am!

She must have fallen asleep pretty quickly on thr stairs otherwise she would have woken you. Not the chosen place to sleep obviously but at least she did sleep.

Would a trip in the car get dd a nap before the party?

She seems a bit more awake now (and excited about the party).

She's been such hard work the past week and has tired us all out.

She wont sleep in the car but hopefully will be in bed early tonight.

We had a 'trying' Xmas with the middle one, all too much excitement then the anticlimax. Hey ho - school tomorrow!!

Aaaw Marne don't feel bad! It is awful being sleep deprived (I feel your pain), and she didn't come to any harm. It is odd isn't it how they have such bad sleep patterns but canfall asleep anywhere if they choose to! My DS is the same.

Back to school soon, I don't know about you but I can't wait to get back to a set daily routine....

How is your DD doing with toiletting did you crack it in the end?? DS has prescription pull ups now..

Marne · 03/01/2010 10:23

Toilet training isn't really going anywhere , i think she will be starting school in nappies.

Both dd's are back to school/nursery on tuesday so only today and tomorrow to get through, i think dd1 is missing the routine of school so can't wait to get back. All we need now is for it to snow and the schools to close , luckily we havn't had any snow yet in the south.

Don't say that we have snow here!

DS not getting anywhere with it either, I hope he does at some point but think it will only be when he decides on it TBH.

DS was 5 in October, felt really sad taking him out of pants and putting him back in pull ups but he has seepage and was not really any other option. None of the other kids seem to notice (he goes to medical room whihc has disabled toilet in for changes and wees).

Hope you all have a nice day today anyway and get a better night tonight.

Not a bad mummy at all!

DS2 fell asleep in the middle of my sisters living room NYE, and I didn't move him, just surrounded him with pillows
