you need moondog - she's a SALT. Have a look out for her she was on the other day.

DS2 does this. He is 4 and has ASD. He will use me/I sometimes, but more often than not refers to himself with his name.

DS1 (13) rarely says 'I'. Instead he says 'he', e.g. 'he go to park', or his name (he's got SLD/ASD). He recently started expressing ownership of objects, e.g. 'that's mine', which one of his carers who knows more about ASD than I do, thought was significant. I don't know why!

DS is 4 , mild asd, he also sometimes refers to himself by his name 'B likes...' , but he also says 'i', but last year he would also confuse i and you frequently.

My nephew , NT, went through a short phase of this too, 'N wants this...' but he was only about 2.5 when he did it.

It is commonn, in fact it is something teh ASDspecialist SALT described.

DS3 says 'me harry'instead of I, and tbh its the least of our worries as at least swe can understand that (his speech is asdaffected, severely delayed and physically impaired)

yup. mine are 9 & 10 and still do this. At first they did it all the time, now ds2 rarely does it. ds1 does it quite a lot although recently he seems to be switching over about half of the time. I don't care, at least they're talking now! They communicate, the fact that they do it a bit differently, well, not worth bothering about, imo.
