Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

I'll apologise in advance I know it's probably been done a million times before

Thanks Riven, it has been mentioned to me but I'm that we'd get it TBH.

Yes.

We get middle rate for dd1 (AS), she's only 5 so this may change in the future.

Yes, we get HR and LR Moblility for ds1- he'sa bit unusual though (very aggressive, has a few extra issues shoved in there)

It's needs based and the assessments are amde by admin staff, to theoretically it is on actual need rather than DX.

I don't really know what extra care means, DD goes to high school but is having emotional problems. She has a medical condition but is suffering high anxiety, thought to be brought on by her condition and possible AS. She has developed OCD and has suicidal thoughts. The thing is the OCD will leave her (hopefully!) after therapy, but she will still have anxiety.

We are paying for her therapy and she goes to an oestopath to help will some medical problems.

She probably would have got DLA when she was younger because she saw OTs, phyios, SALT etc, but it didn't occur to me.

It really all comesdown to what apeer would need

DS1 is ten,but ahs to be watched constantly as he ahs no impulse control and is very aggresive, he also has SPD (a langauge disorder) and anxiety, plus and eating disorder but the ED developed after his alst assessment.

He has to bewatched at night and sleepsvery badly so we get HR also. He is in MS with no professional invovlement bar a statement, although is hopefully transferring to a AS school placement at 11 as there'sno chance he can cope in comp(absolutely zero organisational skills plus the above).

When you write the form focus on highlighting how your child is different.... we were fortunate to have a letter from a Paed saying that he needs 24/7 supervision so if you could get that it would help.

That's peachy

Don't think I have a hope in hell of getting it
