Im a little confused as to weather dd1 should have one or not? AS support group has said def yes, always for a child with asd, but school have not mentioned it at all.
Her ASD has some but not a lot of impact on her learning and shes on gifted and talented, so clearly doing well in areas.
TIA

My DD does for a medical condition, she has AS 'traits' and the SENCO thought she should have one.

Yes my two with ASD both have an IEP. Academically and behaviourally ds1 is doing very well so his targets focus on things like motor skills and helping him to make even more progress at school.

Ds2's are more about things like techniques for helping him to cope when things go wrong for him.

DS4 is AS and doesnt have too much difficulty, academically speaking - but hes only in nursery.... perhaps he may need one to help socially? they dont have to be academic based.

DS4 is GDD, ASD, and others, and has one - but TBH its not really worth the paper its written on.

do you feel that there are issues that your DD has which would benefit from being looked at, broken down into managable pieces and being helped with? if so, perhaps its worth a mention.

ds is 4 and at nursery , he has language delay and asd but only verbal dx so far.
He has an iep, but as to whether the staff actually take much notice of it well...
