Just reposting this as the last thread title made it sound like i was looking for funding for a paddling pool!

Anyone used this?
Just heard about this on another site and thought it might be useful, its an easy way to coordinate raising money from family and friends etc to pay for what you need
kiddiepool

The website doesn't tell you a great deal does it. Doesn't look that useful if outside of the US, as on the signup page it says that certain items can't be shipped outside of the US. There is also mention of Terms and Conditions of the Program, yet I can't find those Terms and Conditions.

Yeah thats why i was asking if anyone had used it, if they do ship most things over here i thought it would be ideal for getting relatives etc to chip in for birthday/xmas presents

and how much did customs demand?

Mitchell81 · 06/12/2009 08:12

Can't remember the postage (£50) I think, but didn't realise I would have to pay £50 customs charge. Still worked out cheaper than buying in the UK.

ok so might be good if its something you cant easily get in this country and worth checking prices on the things you can, cool!

Oh by the way, DD got her kirton ultima and its great.

glittery · 06/12/2009 15:52

oh fab! what colour did she get?

Same as yours, brown leather

glittery · 07/12/2009 12:40

oooh nice choice!!
i've found Kirton to be really helpful, the headrest that came with Evans wasnt really suitable as all the padding forced his head out too far and with the padding out it looked naff and i didnt like the other headrest that basically clamped either side of his head.
i spoke to a lovely lady called Monique at their stand at the recent independant living show at the SECC about how i loved the chair but the headrest was a bit pants and she asked me what my ideal headrest would be like.
a few weeks later a custom made headrest appeared in the post free of charge!
its firm but flexible at the sides and the middle is scooped out to accomodate his head....its fab!!

that sounds great, we have taken some of the stuffing out on DD head rest and its alright now. Just waiting on custom made tray as its too high for her.

glittery · 07/12/2009 21:04

we didnt get the tray as ds just uses the chair for lounging in of an evening, usually falls asleep in it and gets wheeled thru to the bedroom...easier than lifting him!
