Ds1 4.7, ASD has just started this habit of touching people when we go out. He touches peoples backs whilst looking in a different direction, completely clueless that the are turning around at look at him. Its hilarious. We really have to stop this buts it is bloody funny.

He also gets into the fridge (when we leave it unlocked) and lines up the carrots on the bottom shelf and moves the salsa jar from the side compartment next to the carrots

When stressed, he shouts out odd things like 'Pink Doughnut fell down' It always makes me laugh esp when someone starts to look for a doughnut on the floor !

Awww... bless him.

DS seem to be in a phase of counting on his fingers (loudly) for everything that he wants or see and shoving his fingers right into our faces to show us how many!

when my son was younger he had an awful habit of touching familiar females boobs and saying squeezy squeezy he was about 9 my eldest used to often carry him on her back and he did it to her and she fell and broke her arm he also would kiss and cuddle everyone he knew, boys at school used to get really annoyed with him.

My son stops every few yards and touches his head, his shoulders, his chest, his thighs, his shins, the ground, then puts his fingers in his mouth and repeats procedure a couple of times. He also touches things and people. He also licks things, like cars, gets down onto the ground (in the middle of the street/shop/school) on all fours and licks the ground.
He shouts random things a lot too, his most embarrassing one recently was him shouting really loudly "Gary you idiot!" to total strangers whilst down town. He does a good line in "who do we hate? NICK GRIFFIN!" too.

He's recently stared humming the exact amount of syllables of things he's just said straight after saying them too...this is often mid sentence, so you get, "when I'm 18, hum hum hum hum, and I live in Afghanistan, hum hum hum hum humhumhum......

DS2 loves pairing things up. He likes to pair up DH and I then squeeze between us for a big hug!

LMAO! Tom is still up (out of melatonin) and has just declared he is half Jewish and half Muslim. He doesn't eat pork, but wants bread and wine on Saturdays!!!!

Me and DH are not at ALL religious btw.

BriocheDoree · 05/12/2009 06:16

LOL at the carrots and salsa and the bread and wine. DD runs up to children shouting "You don't NEED to have MADELEINE'S dress" (no idea!) usually with a huge grin on her face. Given that most of the kids round here don't speak English it does tend to confuse them!

She also shouts out car number plates.

My son loves to repeat random phrases of movies (star wars is his current favourite),often when i ask him to do something he puts the palms of his hands together (like praying) bows and say 'yes master' if i and he didn't know better i'd swear he was being sarcastic lol. When he does it infront of other people it is v embarrasing . He also likes shouting out 'chinese' a lot randomly and asks if the food he's eating is chinese,or if the person he's talking to is chinese (when clearly they are not). I think this is because his school recently did a worlds culture day and his class was China for the day. Seems to have stuck with him in a slightly different way !

mysonben- dd2 does the counting on her fingers , she also runs through the alphabet if she is stressed, i use numbers/counting to calm her down.

We put the x-mas tree up yesterday and dd2 re-enacted the whole episode of Peppa pigs chrismas (even the singing).

She also shouts ot 'birthday' or starts singing happy birthday if she see's any cake, decorations or anything that looks like a present, in the summer we wen't to the school fate and she was glued to the hamper (which was a pize in the raffal) singing 'happy birthday' at the top of her voice because it was wrapped in ribbon.
