I have a friend who has known me and my boys through thick and thin...and amazingly somehow always seems to appear or phone me 'out of the blue'...just when i need her to.

In return I don't phone HER....don't APPEAR for her....but she is always there for me.

I have recommended she join us as she is very interested in Special Needs ...she is a TA at the secondary school that my son goes to.

If she joins us...i can promise you she is a crazy as the rest of us...she will be laminating with us in no time!!!!

Storage boxes, sticky-backed velcro, stationery.... YUM!

Davros · 13/06/2005 22:45

Cooey! Welcome battybox. I was wonderng if MrsF would need to talk as she said she was spending the morning with her mum.........

coppertop · 14/06/2005 10:35

Fingers crossed for MrsF visiting her mum, and also for Battybox and her review.

battybox · 14/06/2005 19:02

you lot really care for each other

it makes me want to cry to know people listen like you lot do - MRSF will vouch for me being emotional at thought of support

battybox · 14/06/2005 19:03

how rude of me - hi DAVROS

TheRealMrsF · 14/06/2005 19:10

well ...i survived!

I spent 5 hours with her.....we had a good time...but tis very exhausting!!!

Also she is a nightmare walking alongside her as she seems unable to walk in a straight line...and keeps leaning/bumping into me....my theory about this is that if we accept that she is AS....... then she has poor co-ordination/spacial awareness...like Leigh...so has to 'touch base' every few inches as we wander along!!

So..my solution was to hold a shopping bag between me and her....so everytime she needed to crash into me...she hit my bag instead!

Should also explain that though i am a very Touch Feely person..i hate being 'brushed ' against etc....(Tom is like that too...we are both better if we are aware that someone is deliberately touching us!)

I'm not sure why, MrsF, but I LOL at your cunning plan to put a shopping bag between you.

I'm glad it turned out to be a good (if exhausting!) day.

Awww! You'll soon be blubbing away at threads like the rest of us. If you ask really nicely MrsF might even lend you one of her reusable wipe-clean laminated tissues.

battybox · 14/06/2005 19:14

good day was had then by you and mum

TheRealMrsF · 14/06/2005 19:20

Battykins...helllloooo!

battybox · 14/06/2005 19:34

mrsF ds has used 1 of your storage containers to put her pipe cleaners in

AND YOU THOUGHT It WAS A CEREAL CONTAINER!!!!!

Davros · 14/06/2005 20:33

ROFL at the shopping bag strategy!
Yes Battybox, you'll be using a MrsF special laminated tissue soon...... tell us, you know her, does she use Izal medicated too?

TheRealMrsF · 15/06/2005 09:56

Izal is only fit for using as Tracing Paper!!!!!

coppertop · 15/06/2005 10:32

Dh calls that paper "the skid-skimming stuff". Bet you all feel better knowing that, don't you?
