that I'm blimmin serious about ABA.

I'm taking my DH and my Mum. There will be the chocolate teapot SALT that smiles a lot but doesn't get it (on the verge of a formal complaint if she doesn't correct the lies in her report), an argumentative stressed out EP, an Autism playworker (who's boss I am going to request is removed from our case), the poor well-meaning pre-school leader, a SEN Officer that I have never met or spoken to and my fed up with me keyworker.

Actually, it doesn't seem so bad when I list them like that.

But, - I still feel sick.

Guess I need to plan carefully and take control. If I can psych myself up to be a bit cross before I go in I might just manage. I want to make sure they are clear that I am in the 1/5 who will go through to a threatened tribunal, without falling apart. On the other hand, because that is definately where I am heading, - the meeting is a bit irrelevant I suppose, and so nothing to be frightened of. After all, it will only be the 'deliverers' there, not the decision-makers.

So, why am I in such a tizz?

nappyaddict - buffalo milk is delicious, much nicer than cow's milk.

dd1 has been gf/cf for about two and a half years now, and we saw a huge change in her - lots more speech, less "daydreaming", better pain response, etc.

earlier this year I wanted to try to wean her off rice milk as I felt it was too sugary for her (issues with yeasts and sugars) and so tried her on goat's milk (she won't touch soya at all)

that went down ok, and there was no increase in undesired behaviours.

then, a couple of weeks ago we were at a food fair, and there was a buffalo milk stand and dh was keen to try some (he is dairy intolerant, and i think the dds are dairy intolerant due to his intolerance rather than leaky gut - dd1 tested negative for dairy on the sunderland test)

the milk is absolutely delicious. even I drink it now in preference to cow's milk (and I didn't like goat's milk at all)

we buy this one - available through some Waitrose and also through Ocado.

hth

SM GFCFSF doesn't just improve bad behaviours it can improve the weird ones too. We were also told it could help his speech and concentration.

silverfrog ooh I didn't know you could get it from Waitrose. I thought I'd have to order it online.

BTW sorry to completely go off topic here but SM I remember you saying you had a particularly bad labour with one of your DCs. My friend has just given birth and she had a really bad labour too. She went in at 2cm and was in masses of pain they thought she was about to give birth until they examined her. When you arrived could you speak in between contractions? At first they tried to send her home because even though she couldn't speak during them she could speak in between them!! I told her to come on here to talk about it and that some people have counselling. Is there any advice you can give her?
