TES Poll - Should it be easier to exclude pupils?

You may have read the debate in the TES last week ? Politician vs Brian Lamb concerning the exclusion of pupils. Brian Lamb points out that pupils with SEN are disproportionately represented among the excluded, whereas the politician is in favour of abolishing exclusion appeal panels and making it (even) easier for schools to exclude pupils.

Given the vulnerability to formal and (unlawful) informal exclusion of many pupils with ASD and other forms of SEN, some of you might want to take 30 seconds to vote and help boost the SEN cause!

In the past week, an 80% vote in favour of making exclusion easier has turned into a 71% vote against making exclusion easier! Possibly the power of SN parents?

Thanks for highlighting this. My ds kept getting excluded from his previous school (until we removed him) despite them saying they understood his SN!
