Random Q - anyone know if Notting Hill Carnival is doable with kid in wheelchair/buggy?

I mean the kids' day, ie the Sunday. I haven't been for nearly 25 years and anyway that was always the Monday so I'm a bit uncertain. The Monday was always heaving and would have been completely unsafe with DD1's SN buggy. But the Sunday is different, isn't it?

I'm just not sure if she's going to get trampled underfoot or something. . Then again - brightly coloured costumes, movement, loud music with the bass turned up - totally up DD1's street party. . So if it is doable, would love to go.

Can't find anything on the net about disabled access other than a desultory note about where the loos are.

I'm desperately trying to remember and am fairly sure that I always used to go on the family day. This was about 10 years ago though! I think that it would be doable as long as you were there for the early part of the day before the sound systems get going too much as I'm thinknig that's where the biggest crowds were. We always managed to get in line with the procession and dance along behind them - but stay with the actual floats with the costumes and not the sound systems.

Am sooooo jealous! Would love to take DD!
