we went to tribunal today for ds high rate mobility and won. It was so quick and very easy. Simply going over the answers I had written in the original application (from last year). It took about 10 mins and then they said they had enough info to make a decision. They said we had been successful (yay).2 of the panel seemed quite nice but one of them was staring at me intensely with a really hard look on his face which was a bit off putting. Also they have awarded until DS is 7 (2012) which is a big relief.

Pipinjo, while I've never actually gone to Tribunal (LEA caved in as soon as form got filled in both times as they had laughable case), I have seen the DVD ( - clearly not the same thing but hey!) and the DLA Tribunal is so so so not the same. For starters, it's unlikely that you'll have someone from DWP there. They do sometimes, including my first adjourned one, but it's quite rare. So you're not arguing against someone. And it shouldn't last as long. And it's about concrete criteria, whereas of course the SEN Tribunal outcomes are much more subjective and vague. I'm trying to say the DLA Tribunal is probably a piece of piss compared to SEN one!
