My DS is in a single bed size big foam padded cell, similar height to a normal bed with extended sides all filled with foam padding iyswim. There is a foam padded gate with 2 big bolts 2 get him in and out.
Anyway theres just been an almighty thud from his room and he's asleep but whining on the floor with the gate open.
Don't know what to do, don't trust this bed or him. I know he can't do a bolt. Stunned this happened. I know he is very restless and very strong. What do you think I should do?

HUMM... i WOULD LAY MYSELF ON THE BED , GET DH TO DO THE BOLT AND PUSH AS HARD AS I COULD TO SEE IF THE GATE IS AT FAULT? (sorry i wrote it all in caps without realising , seems like i'm shouting!

Tried that, we've also had the bed about 4 years. Thanks anyway.

I would ask your social worker/ OT for a SafeSpace ...unless that's what you've got already. I know SS will fund them.

Poor you - not a good thing at all.

I did a thread about ours - hang on, here it is. Probably cost even more than a safe space, but again paid for by SS OT.
