Have just cleaned up a particularly classic example. Any enlightening experiences?

My ds2 has been known to smear it all over his bedroom walls. Its lovely to wake up to the fresh smell of poo drifting around the house

DS1 has just returned to this particular habit after being trusted in normal pj's for around 3 months.

The first time he reoffended last week, I went in his room at around midnight to be hit by the smell. I cleaned him and the room up and thought no more of it. In the morning I entered his room which was still a bit whiffy, I opened the curtains and instead of being greeted by rays of bright sunshine, there was a dull brown glow. Yes, DS1 had created his own glass poo stained window.

Needless to say, after a week it was clear that we had to go back to zip up sleep suits worn backwards.

Dunno what the magic cure is, we have this as well (yuck). We have little finger smears that appear in various rooms in the house.

Someone suggested letting DS play with hair gel, dough, finding something that has a similar consistency really.

Yep - just cleaned one up too, after experimenting with normal pjs for a while.
We also have the poo stained glass effect Graciefer! So Homes and Gardens, don't you think?

Interestingly I don't think DS2 does it for sensory reasons any more - it's not smeared, just dropped, then he wipes his hands on whatever is available. I think he dislikes the feeling of it, thinks 'let's get it out' and voila! Can't blame him really - I just need to find a way to teach him to call out (he has never done this) so I can go up as soon as he's done it.

What I really hate is when you don't find it for a few days - DH found a shrivelled turd in a suitcase once .

Just thought I would add my DS doesn't smear but can eat it!

Then there are those 'is it poo or is it chocolate?' moments...

Ah best not say what ds did with the loo brush yesterday! Just to say that a thorough spring clean with rubber gloves was required! (And my nose tells me I need another attempt)
And I hoped we had left poo cleaning up behind! Ah well - another phase! Life is never dull!
