I thought that horses and my little pony was bad enough - but now he's developed a thing about Disney Princesses, they are his latest collection . anyone else?

ds 1(15) was when he was younger prams and dolls , though ifyou so much as to mention it now the look would melt you on spot.Though have to say hes very gentle and caring young man now

Less dd was to ask and then he would and be know to push her pink dolls buggy down road , me thinks she has wrapped round her fingers

ds liked buggies and dolls when he was little
And ...he likes playing with dd's sylvanian families. I've even known him to set them up when she isn't around.

everytime we go into the Disney store to get Cars stuff ds looks longingly at the Disney princess stuff, his favourite colour is pink, he's fond of dolls and he has a long black Cher wig that he quite likes to wear!

ds2 was never into dolls as such, but when he was 2-3 he had a fimble teddy, and for his 3rd birthdya he requested " a blue buggy so i can push fimbo when we go out". so i hunted high and low, willing to spend up to £30 on a blue buggy for him, in the end, found one in a cheapo shop for a fiver and he adored it. it went everywhere wth him. he wouldnt have had one any other colour than blue though, you offer him something pink (even now when he is 7.11 year) and the reaction would be along the lines of "pink, i dont want pink its for giiiirrrrrrls!"

Ds is six and asd, and likes all things glittery.
Last week he made a 'crown', a ring and a wand, he then walked around the house wearing it, with glitter on his top, and said he was granting wishes. I was just overjoyed at the pretend play!

DS had a phase of liking polly pocket when he was 3-6. he also loves powerpuff girls and any advert for girls toys.

Oh and when he was a toddler he would wear my shoes

misscutandstick · 18/05/2009 18:05

DS1 asked for a pram when he was around 4, so i duly granted his request...

whereupon within 5mins he had ripped off the handle and used it as a skateboard .

Ds had a thing for putting pants on and off his doll (he was 8 at the time). However I think it helped with his fine motor skills and he definately has developed pretend skills since then so it was worth a few blushes. Now he is into collecting go-gos and starwars men.
Ds went through a worryingly fight orientated phase so I gave him a playmobil catamarang boat. Encourage some gentle play I thought. Within 5 minutes he had broken off the sail and was using each hull as a dagger and playfighting again!

Hmm, well mine seem to be fitting quite nicely into their defined gender roles now. They both watch Thomas the Tank Engine, but earlier today DD (five) was watching Tinkerbell, and DS (nearly two) sat there saying "off...off...off". Had to laugh!

DS2 likes nothing more than dressing up in my neices dresses and tiaras when we visit, and always announces "I'n a pincess" (typos are on purpose). He is 3. He has also had a pram which he loved pushing around, but I've had to hide it as he kept trying to put ds3 (6 months) into it.
