The family support worker at DS's additional needs group today mentioned that you can buy spoons that are angled so that if you are holding them they are pointed it at your face iyswim. Im trying really hard to get DS to feed himself but he gets so frustrated because everythig falls off the spoon when he turns it towards himself

Does anyone know where I can get them - I thought about ebay but I dont really know what they are called and so wouldnt know what to search for!

TIA

I thnk they used ot do some in Boots - probable designed by some "baby guru"

actually, miriam Stoppard comes to mind, but surely she retired years ago?!

I have a set (in fetching green and purple) but be warned - dd1 would insist on using them in the "wrong" hand, and get even more frustrated (can now, but was hell at the time!)

Got one from the Occupational Therapist for free. You shouldn't have to pay but it's quicker to do so. Mobility shops sell them

Our local disabilty shop and mobile shop sell them ( run by the disability team). Most of their products are aimed at adults and especially older adults but specialised cutlery for children ( and stuff to stop bowls slipping) is common. There should be a similar resource local to you.

steady spoon
this is quite expensive but the bowl of the spoon swivels so it always stays level and the food doesnt fall out, might be worth a try too?
