I havent tried it so no help really but i would say look at the weight limits of buggies as i have had my ds in a major buggy since 2.5yrs as he was too heavy for most normal buggies on the market even though they often say up to 4 yrs! I know he is quite big for his age but not that big im sure!! just worth checking into before spending a lot on something in my opinion! Sorry thats not answering your question but as youre impatient i thought i would at least reply!

I have a Phil and Teds and it does take a bigger child comfortably but it is very heavy - I dunno how heavy SN pushchairs tend to be?

I have a P&T Sport.

dd1 is 4.8, dd2 is 2.2.

dd1 has ASD, and she fits quite well still in the main seat. I guess, at a push we'd get another year out of it.

she is a large girl (about 110cm tall, weighs around 18kg I guess) and it works for us. The main drawback is the footplate is not huge, so she sometimes struggles with where to put her feet, but that's more her being a monkey, as it works ok as long as she behaves.

lol sorry didnt mean to post that twice!

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 24/04/2009 12:04

we've looked at the phil and teds and the sport was the only model that was wide enough for dd to be comfortable and also had room on the footplate. It was ok but she didn't look that comfy to be honest and at £550 I wanted it to be perfect.

cktwo · 24/04/2009 15:30

The good thing about the P&T though is that it folds up really quite small for a big pushchair. DD1(SN) and DD2 still use it at 4 and 2.5 respectively. Yes the footplate it a little small, DD1 will dangle her legs over the side on occasion but it doesn't bother her.

Woooozle100 · 24/04/2009 16:40

I have. Use it for dd (aged 4 but so dinky she is relegated to bottom) and ds now 18 mths

Is it just cos yr after a big single? Or does the doubleness factor have some lure? That's why I use it

I think they are quite easy to come by cheaper on ebay

silverfrog · 24/04/2009 16:46

HBOB, was it the Sport you looked at, or the Vibe?

the Vibe has a smaller footplate, but a Sport shouldn't be costing £550. Most I can find it for is £400, which is still not a small sum, mind.

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 24/04/2009 18:13

yes, sorry it was the vibe. Dd didn't seem to fit into the sport at all for some reason. The vibe package with the doubles kit was £550 in a shop and the cheapest I've found on-line is £525.

SJisontheway · 24/04/2009 18:22

I have the vibe for dd1 (2.9) and dd2 (7 mths) It works pretty well for us. The main seat is plenty big, but the straps weren't - we had to addapt them to fit her properly. She seems very comfy in it but she has no major extra postural needs - just can't walk.
