Thank you very much - your information has come just at the right time as I've been looking at the brochures this week.

Wow! We've just got to the stage of actually thinking about trying a holiday as we haven't been away since our honeymoon. It's good to know that there's schemes like this one so thanks.

Also welcome to the SN board.

Hi lynny70 - just wanted to say welcome to the SN board.

Jayzmummy · 25/04/2005 16:46

Lynny, You do know that under schedule 19 of the education act that if your child is absent from school for more than 15 days she is entitled to Link Education dont you?

The teacher basically comes to your home 3 times a week for a couple of hours each time and teaches your child. Its fantastic.....my ds has been using this service for a couple of weeks now and I only wish i had known about it 6 months ago.

If your dd has an illness that is reoccurent and has lots of time away from school.....say a couple of weeks in school then a week out she is still entitled to this service.

Thought I'd just mention it.

Welcome to the SN board.

Welcome lynny70! I've got a daughter with autism and SLD too and she too is my biggest source of tears and joy wrapped into one . I hardly meet any autistic girls- I saw a little girl on a video at Early Bird today and my mum and I felt really emotional
