Going to apply for DLA for ds1 2.7 years, have looked at cerebra and nas websites which are quite useful. Ds1 is awaiting formal dx but paed said yes he is on spectrum see what happens with SALT and preschool.
Anyway need help do I fill in constantly when is asked if the child needs help or try to put in a number.
Also does ASD count as a severe learning diability and severe behavioural problem. Ds1 is a kicker and pincher when getting dressed. He is also either a runner or will drop to the floor if unhappy when out.
Sorry for all the questions I know it has been done to death but ffs I cant even get past the first section aaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhhh
Oh nearly forgot what counts as nightime ds does sleep though, well without too much disturbance but does getting up at 5 count as nightime???

I think night time counts as the sleeping time for the adults in the house ie 11pm till 6.30am or whatever the hours you would be tucked up in bed if you didn't have a sn child.
Can't answer the other questions but I think it is better to tick both sections if you think they may apply. (I was given the advice to tick uncertain sections - the decision maker can negate it, but if it isn't ticked it will not even be considered)Ds (now 9 ASD, Adhd, IQ below 55) certainly ticks both but I did not apply till he was 8 so it was a lot clearer that he fell into both sections.

I was advised by my specialist HV to put constantly or all the time for things that applies to and for the time taken to be truthful and if it can take anything from 2 minutes to 2 hours to do something, put that.

I get middle rate for both of my boys, since constant 5am starts clearly didn't get counted as night time for either of them.
