Does anyone have any experience of them? My 5 year old daughter is otherwise 'normal' (hate that word sorry) and has been referred to a paed due to suspected absence epilepsy. She's easily distraced anyway but she has these episodes a few times a day where she hums under her breath or spins round in circles.. her eyes also go a bit glazed and half closed. There is absolutely no way of getting her out of them although they only tend to last between 10 and 20 secs.
Bless her, sometimes it happens when shes holding something and she drops it, or in the middle of a conversation. When I ask her what happened she looks confused and doesn't really answer. Generally she says she was just thinking.
I dont know anyone with experience of this so it would be nice to hear from someone in the know.
My paed appt is in 2 weeks.
