Crikey, I always copy from the last form! They haven't penalised me/noticed yet! Good luck.

Really Plucker?

Thanks so much for replying....those forms are a nightmare at the best of times so if i can copy from my last one that will make it alot easier!

Thanks again.

Really, my dd doesn't advance quickly, so things can stay quite static for periods of time. Her physio suggested photocopying the forms for 1) reference and 2) to use as the basis next time.

I hate those forms, so anything that makes them any less painful gets a thumbs up from me!

I totally agree with you...anything that will make my life easier is a bonus.

Thank you so much...im relieved now!

I was actually TOLD to copy and paste by the DLA people . I recently rang up because my son's latest award takes him to 15..which is nuts as it means a 1 year award to 16. He said just to copy and paste the forms I'd just done, if nothing changes!

I'm wondering how they think my son is going to outgrown his autism and MLD magically by 16.. ho hum!

Does anyone know if the frequency you have to reapply ever gets less?
Ds1 was first awarded dla at age 2 (the earliest you could apply then) It was renewed at 5, 9 and 16. He is 21 this year and I am just in the process of filling in the forms again. Is this going to carry on like this? He has a congenital condition which has no prospect of a "cure" and only has the potential to get worse as he gets older not better.

I filled mine in on the computer then saved it. Fortunately our award is until DS (now 10) is 16, but I had every intention of printing off and sending in the same form if I'd had to renew it anytime soon.

misscutandstick · 06/03/2009 13:35

we have had to reapply at 9, 12, 16 and next is 18.... and i was wondering the same thing

Reapplication frequency varies on child; ds3 had an award until 16 (but hs to reapply nowas a few things ahev changed / we're asking for mobility), DS1 had 1 year now ahs 2 years as he is atypical for his condition.

With ds1's last form I wrote everything from the last form that was accurate (in truth a few things ahd changed) then put a note in saying that very little has changed since he was awarded HR care except that we now have an even bigger child to restrain and control.

You do need topoint out such implications.

Is it worth applying for DLA for my son of 8 with a diagnosis of Severe ADHD,dyspraxia & under bed wetting clinic as I was refused DLA when he was 6 & again aged 7 & also under dietician just want to know any other parents in same position who have recently applied & been successful ??
