we just got back from canada where we found an adaptive ski instructor with all sorts of specialist knowledge and equipment, and fab with kids to boot. dd2 cried when we said goodbye...
ski banff - sunshine village, his name is jamie

he's also trying to set up a not for profit company providing adaptive summer activities in the rockies too - so if you feel like splashing the cash, i would thoroughly recommend getting in touch! (and, no, i'm not his mum lol)

I wish!!! Do you think Family Fund would pay out for this?? No??? Guess it will have to be Haven, N Wales again this year!!

Seriously tho', it does sound good, we have been to a local ski slope that has adaptive eqpt with a disability group and all the kids had a wonderful time.

you could ask your disability group to fundraise and run a trip lol?! it's something i've been wondering about (i've been involved with a charity for a few years and was toying with the idea of trying a 'once in a lifetime' type idea... - so many kids and so little opportunity though )
our local ski slope won't take dd2 until she's 8, and i can't bear the earache that long lol - we had to go over as part of something else, so took the opportunity for a bit of skiing at the same time - so proud of her!
