I've put on Lady and the Tramp for her, I relented after a bum shuffling toddler chasing me round the house saying and signing 'mummy dogs, mummy dogs' for 30 minutes drove me to distraction! Anyway, she's curled up on sofa under a blanket, howling, as in like a dog, and she won't stop! Trouble is it's making her laugh so much that she can barely howl now for laughing, and she's given herself the hiccups which seems to be making her laugh even more!

Aaaaww TC

Just been reading an article in my local paper about families and disability. There is an 80 year old lady talking about her 40 year old son who has DS. He does her washing and ironing and her shopping because she's crippled with arthritis. Its not online so can't do a link but its a great article - you'd love it.

I've had such a lovely doing nothing day with her today, she's been a right pain for some of it, and a hysterically funny and great company for the rest of it! WE've just wrecked the bathroom with bath paints and scared the neighbours with reditions of 'Love me tender, love me true' (my version on Elvis) at full pelt, everytime I stoped she'd shout 'more'.. In fact the whole house is wrecked, a great day!

I thought of this today, as dd and me were snuggled up on the sette together watching Shrek2!

It got to the part where the cat start to cough up the furball! DD jumps down from the settee, holds her little tummy and pretends to cough too. When she finished she just turned around, gave me a grin big enough to melt my heart, and climbs back up next to me as if nothing had happened.

Blossomhill · 13/04/2005 21:06

Oh bless dd dingle xxxx

Bles her Dingle. Has she seen the hairball moment in 'The Cat in the Hat'?
