DS said something yesterday that made me think, you know all those post's about how siblings are affected and how dreadful it is........

well I think imo this proves them wrond.
at ds's college there is a person with a bad stutter.
ds told me that he finds he is very patient with them, in comparison to his peers who don't live PT in the SN world.
so surely that proves that having a sibling with sn makes you a better person

Thats lovely 2shoes, He sounds like a great kid. I would hope all children who have SN siblings are better people for it. I can already see my 2 year is caring and considerate to his older sister. Not so much to his baby brother though.

Awww! That is lovely, what a lovely son you have!
Hope my ds3 meets a friend like him one day.
What a sweetheart!

oh don't mis read him, he is a very normal soon to be 17 year old
but I do think having a disabled sister has made him a better person.

I've lived with a disabled uncle all my life. Sure, it's had disadvantages, but I feel it's had a good effect on me too. Or at least I hope that's how I come across lol!
