My ds has GDD.
I tried kinesiology, I went once and wasn't convinced, decided that my money would be better spent elsewhere. I have a friend whose son has autism, she is convinced kinesiology is helping but you need to get the right person.

I also tried bowen therapy and I think that did help. However, as with other alternative therapies, it is difficult to know if the improvement was due to the therapy or just natural.

I am now trying the Tomatis listening therapy. And oh yes, I think that is helping.

I used to be very sceptic about alternative therapies, but I'll try anything that might help DS!

is ~ have you heard of bibic? fantastic holistic place in somerset, we have been twice now.

PlainOldPeachy · 20/01/2009 22:27

Ditto Riven

And Ditto BIBIC also, been several times with 2 kids (AS/ HFA and asd).

But you know what, nothing is owrking here so I've finally given in, realised that the HFA part of dx is the right bit and am looking at FBA / ABA type stuff becaure really, it's about time I did.

BIBIC well worth a shot tho, imo.

thank you. have tried bibic, but cant really get the coordination exercises done so have drifted away. we have just started cranial osteopahty (one session so far) , and that is getting cautious thumbs up at present.

Riven - 10 yr odl boy - mainly the social side of things so a bit more included in things at school, does not really do conversations, can find it hard to follow instructions, confused by what people say and misinterprets, gets quite frustrated and cross, bit of hand flapping, some noises seems to be quite uncomfortable for him
