Eurodisney and special needs?

We are going with extended family to Eurodisney next June. I have a letter from ds1's paed describing his as and the problems he has. The travel agent says we just take this somewhere when we arrive and there'll sort out passes for ds1 to avoid queues and so on.
Is that all I should do? I'm freaking out slightly as my choice of holiday is a nice safe cottage in norfolk where we've been lots of times. I'm really grateful we've been invited, but worried about ds1 screaming all the time, losing him and so on - oh and making sure the twins have a good time too.
I'm really not moaning - I know we're luckyu to have this opportunity, bugt I'd really like some advice before we go.
We are watching the dvd lots to try to prepare ds1, he doesn't watch any tv though so trying to get him to sit through disney films is out!

Someone asked the same question several months ago so it might be worth doing a search. Have you looked at the eurodisney website?

Is he noise sensitive? The only thing that bothered DD when we went there for the day was the VERY LOUD music they played when the Disney characters train came on.
Oh, and I wish I'd known about avoiding queues when I went, but DD wasn't long diagnosed and I wasn't clued up yet but as far as I understand all you need is a paed letter.
The disneyland paris website has an SN booklet you can download - English and French. Can't remember the exact site but you should be able to google it.

Thanks - I had googled, but I think I got the American version or something of their site - I'll look again. I may get some ear defender things too as he is sensitive to loud and repeated noises - ironic really as he makes a lot of them

Try this visit.disneylandparis.co.uk/disabled-visitors/index.xhtml
You can download the brochure from here.

Hi. You go to Guest Services which is just inside the park, with details of your child's disability, and they'll give you a pass which allows you to access most of the rides via the exit so that you don't need to queue. My DS has ASD and just can't manage waiting in Qs, these passes make it bearable. They also allow you to access to a special disabled area to watch the parade. We've been 3 times now, so any more questions, just ask.......

You can also get free carer entry to the park, we just showed the blue badge. We found it excellent and there is disabled seating near the front for the shows too so no need to get there early or queue.

You need to get a different pass for the Studio park.

There is a website/forum specifically for Disneyland enthusiasts, called DIS. Covers US parks and others, ie Eurodisney too. And it has a subforum for disabled access discussions, DISabilities. There are FAQs and stuff but they are also very helpful. Here you go.

Hi

My children don't have special needs but we had lots of queries about our visit at Christmas and I used this email address

[email protected]

and I woman called Anne-Sophie dealt with all my queries and organised everything for me. She was really great.

I recommend you try it!!

Hi we went to disney in the summer with our dd who is non verbal asd, we took our docs letter to the town hall just inside the park and got an easy access pass which means you can enter the rides through the exits so no queing you also get a special carriage on the train and reserved seating at the shows if you are at all worried about any of it talk to the staff and show your pass, they were lovely and very helpful, we didn,t need a different pass for the studios as the easy access pass is valid for you whole family in both parks for the whole of your stay. hope you all have a fab time!!
