DS1 and 2 have their own rooms, mainly because Ds2's sleeping can be erratic. But when we go on holiday they often share a room. Not only do they love it, but Ds2's sleeping is always much better! I would have thought, give it a try! But others may be on with different experience.

ds1 has his own room, because he climbs into his brother's beds/wakes for hours at full moon/sings and shouts a lot.

His younger brothers share and sleep better together.

dd1 (4) and dd2 (nearly 2) have their own rooms, but like sphil, when we go on holiday or are away from home they share, and get on ok with it - dd2 has leant form very young how to fall asleep while dd1 is chatting away/singing.

Yes, DS1 is completely DS2-proof too

DS1 shares with DS2. I would far rather he had his own room, but I think DD (6) and DS2 (8) are now too old to share and that is the only other option.

DS shares with DD (she is the eldest and has the SN) and get on surprisingly well. She sometimes sings at night and keeps him up later than he'd like, and he sometimes shouts in the morning and wakes her earlier than she would like, but on the whole they are fine. We currently use our spare room as a playroom and will probably convert it to a bedroom for DS when they are too old to share.
