were back he said watching ds he would not have known he was aspergers said we didnt need a statement only thing he saw was ds is imature for his age ffs only watched him for 15 mins , we told himour concerns about ds hand writing and the dinner plays and how the noise hurts his ears in class and i told them that only this week ds hurt a child and if they dont watch him at dinner time when others are teasing him he will hurt some one and its not his fault we have told them, time and time again.

he says hes v bright ( we do know that) and they willmonitor him in future, please tell me do i need to do any thing else its like they have no idea, we talked about his hand writing ( oh all kids do that at his age , told them about he needs reminding to go to the loo as he smells comming home from school, ( again all kids do that) where the hell do i go from here?

15 minutes????!!!!

There'll be wiser people than me along with ideas about the next steps you could take. But yes, I'd say 15 minutes and discounting everything you're saying is just rude.

Goodness me....

he didnt want to fill forms in as the teachers says hes fine trouble is he dont like to be told off so will work v hard at hiding his fears and so on but as door opens coming out of school it starts and parants think hes a bad boy its cos hes tried all day to be good it all comes out as soon as he leaves.

i think id be writing to the principal psych and expressing your concerns.

15 mins is not enough for them to asess a child, ths psych that went into see DD on tues spent an hour there.

HTH

Some Ed Psychs are a bit crap sadly - our first one was awful. I didn't know it at the time but ds was displaying so many traits of ASD and yet she claimed she hadn't a clue what was wrong. She eventually mentioned ODD even though she said she didn't think he had ADHD I only had to do a little bit of research to learn that his behaviour fitted an ASD and yet this so called experienced professional was clueless Sorry rant over

15 mins is not long enough IMO. Have you asked for him to be referred to a developmental peadiatrician?

We've got a full psych assessment over 4 hour long sessions coming up in December. So glad DH is going to the first one. I know that I would spend the entire time trying to "second guess" my responses and trying to "protect" DD!!

I was told by school that is was approx 3 hours, I would defo complain, how can they tell in that time!!!
