Rear facing double buggy for deaf toddler and baby - any ideas?

My 19 month old will be just 2 when our new baby arrives. Was going to go down the Phil and Ted's route but she was diagnosed with moderate to severe hearing loss a couple of months ago and has recently started wearing hearing aids.

Have a bugaboo at the mo so she can face me in that but what are my alternatives when the baby arrives? She has only just started walking too so we will need a double of some sort. We live in London so most of our shops/playgroups/friends are within walking distance. Would like to be able to get through the doors of shops!

Any ideas?

I have looked at them one in a shop and pushed it around a little, i would have bought it if had enough money , you can use a cary cot with it too.

Hi I would really wait and see if you really need a double (I am talking as the mother of a deaf child and a very late walker). My late walker walked long distances much more quickly than his siblings. My deaf son was 2 when his sister was born and we used a buggy board. I have also had a phil and teds which I loved (2nd gap was so small DD wasn't walking when DS2 was born. Double buggies are often used for such a short space of time and are such a pain I think I would wait and see if you really need one when the baby comes.

Have a look here We had this for 6m and 1.5 (now 1.5 & 2.5) we still use it. You can have a car seat on the main seat as well. Easier than a buggy board, hood covers both and £:$ is good at the moment. Only took a couple of weeks from ordering to arriving. Cost about £200 ish inc shipping and tax. Well worth it if your dc is walking some of the time. Small enough to push with just 1 dc and not look stupid as well!! Fits graco car seats and a couple of others available in this country. Ebay shop called BALKOWITZ.

I have the i candy pear for my 2 youngest. I love it but only downfall is its weight. I have them both facing me and it also takes the maxi cosi car seat which makes in and out of car school runs alot easier iyswim.

I do 3 school runs each day hence needing to make my life easier. If mainly walking then its worth a look as you wont be lifting it too much.
