So, what does the OT actually ^do^ when they go into school?

We were told DD's dyspraxia was not severe enough to warrant the OT going into school, apparently she was just on the cusp but luckily DD's wonderful teacher has managed to persuade them to come in citing DD's confidence as a major worry for her (that it's fab atm but could be easily knocked without proper help) but what will she do there?

Dd's OT talked to the teacher and SENCO, running through the whole school day, everywhere dd went, all the things she does, to identify where she needs help, starting with a proper chair at assembly, running through aids in the classroom (special pen, folder to lean her work on etc) and things like being able to leave earlier at break time to avoid the crush, anything they can do to improve her ability to access the curriculum.

In my experience of the OT being in school they are there to observe the person in the classroom. The OT came into the school during a gymtrail session (gymtrail is a series of fine and gross motor skill exercises).
