I hope you don't mind me posting here. My DTDs are learning to sign numbers and letters (primarily) for a sponsored sign language challenge.
They have been shown the alphabet once and then have a sheet of paper with pictures on. We have most of them...but there are a couple which I am not sure what they "depict" or how to help them to remember them.
They are
K - picture isn't clear. Is it supposed to depict the K with a straight back on teh lefthnd and a knuckle making the K shape with the other?
R - I think this looks like C but laying onteh bottom half of the palm. Is this correct? Is there an easy way to remember this? I have been finding objects start with each initial letter (e.g. binoculars, fishes, girraffes neck). Is there an easy way to remember R that any of you have found?
Also the number 6-9 are confising me a little. Are they all done on the right hand with the palm facing the "audience"?
Are there any good sites with better illustrations than I might have? Perhaps a video of the actions?
Grateful for any help you can give - and hope you don't mind me posting on this subject.
