Some of you may hare read my threads about dd1 (AS) and her toilet phobias, basicly dd1 refused to sit on a toilet without screeming and shaking, this was a huge worry as next week dd1 starts full days at school, up till now dd refussed to use the school toilets.

Anyway just before half term i managed to sit her on the school loo (a few tears at first), she refussed to wee on it but was sitting on it. 2 days ago she came home and told me she had done a wee (twice) on the school loo with a little help, now she is going on her own

This was such a huge issue a few weeks ago and now we have cracked it, dd1 is soooo happy with herself. I almost cried when she told me.

Thankyou, i feel like having a party , its like a weight has been lifted as i have been so worried about her not going to the loo and making herself ill over it, now i can realax a little.

We may still have the same problem when she has to use the bigger toilet (the school loo's are tiny).

Wow! Well done to mini-Marne.

I'd be doing cartwheels down the street by now. (Not a pretty sight in my case. )

Dd1 hates the hand dryers too, she will come with me to the loo whilst out now, she used to screem at the dryers, i have to take tissue to dry my hands on .

She told me she doesn't like the toilet as once when we were out i put her on one and she fell slightly down the loo, i can't remember this but it might be true, she has a good memory

Well done Marne junior - what a relief to you all.

DS1 (also AS) hates handdryers and only now, at 8yrs, is getting used to them and will use them - before that he would dodge out of the loo without drying his hands at all, me running in his wake trying to keep up with him - motorway services, for some reason were a particular worry. He still keeps away from the noisy ones given half the chance.

Marne · 04/11/2008 17:35

now to top it off dd2 has just used the potty for the first time after dd1 saying to her 'i will be verry proud dd2 if you do a wee wee on your potty', don't think dd2 even noticed she had done it but dd1 now thinks she has magic powers to make dd2 wee.

Wow Marne that is brilliant about the school loo, must be a real weight off your mind. at your dd1's magic powers.

Ds2 hates the noise from hand dryers as well. I used to take tissue from the loos but now just tell him to wipe his hands on his trousers - far easier .

Motorway services are horrible. I had to change ds3 (4mo) in a service station last week and the changing table was right next to one of the driers and as well as the driers we had constant noise lovely background music blaring from the speakers too.

Aefondkiss · 04/11/2008 22:29

aww Marne great news, congrats to your dd for getting over her fear.

I have another hand drier hater, ds, but he will tolerate being in a loo with a hand dryer now, as long as it isn't used.

RaggedRobin · 04/11/2008 22:32

lol at dd1's special powers.

definitely a big deal.

PeachyFizzesLikeADampSquibb · 04/11/2008 22:38
