discuss
on countless threads I have seen the oh so and works with dc's with sn, and then they use something(usually negative) to bolster their argument.
Imo IT IS DISGUSTING TO THINK THAT STAFF(oops) discuss our burdens outside of school to all and sundry and pisses me of when people use these "facts".
what do you think??

actually I'm feeling grumpy about that thread. Realised today that congratulating dd at using the 'big girl hoist' to have her nappy changed was actually bloody awful.
And now a thread to list all the stuff she can never experience.
crap day.

I'm just grumpy. Should change my name from Saint cos I'm not feeling saint like. Just tired and generally grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr at the world.

saint2shoes · 25/09/2008 18:16

don't please I love this saint thing.

I've noticed its just us in this exclusive club though. The other bah humbugs haven't joined in....

saintvicsta · 25/09/2008 18:29

Can I join? I sort of have already so please don't say no!

dustystar · 25/09/2008 18:40

I would but I don't feel I can since I often wish there were things I could change about ds. I love him to bits and wouldn't want to lose who he is but if I'm honest I have to say i really wish he didn't have such complex behavioural needs and I definitely wish he didn't have the aggression and violent meltdowns

saint2shoes · 25/09/2008 19:03

saintvicsta
I wish everyone on the sn board would. we get called saints all the time(saintgeorge of course can be an honorary member)

starting wonder if I should add a Munchausens in front of my name rather than a saint, as according to DS's teacher he doesn't have a language problem at all

saint2shoes · 25/09/2008 19:04

dustystar that is normal, but you still are saintdustystar

dustystar · 25/09/2008 19:11

Thanks 2shoes. I guess I read yours and others posts on the SN board about not wanting to change their children at all and I feel guilty that I don't feel quite the same.

supportman · 25/09/2008 20:50

Just had to check my posts to make sure I am not guilty, and I think that they are all so general that no one could identify their child from what I have said.

saint2shoes · 25/09/2008 21:30

supportman I think you are like the staff at dd's respite place, dedicated.
I am sure you wouldn't do such a thing. It is normaly someone posting that their freind/sister/neighbour/great aunt/dog works with dc's with sn and told the something.

SaintRiven · 26/09/2008 12:19

ooo get you and you posh extra bits.
Dustystar, while I am of course a saint etc, if a cure was announced for cerebral palsy that would have dd running and talking I'd do it tomorrow. Acceptance doesn't mean we'd rather not see our kids have problems.

dustystar · 26/09/2008 12:51

No of course not riven I realise that I've just got my guilty mummy head on at the moment. I try to be rational and tell myself that its not my fault that ds had difficulties and i do all I can but every now and then the guilt bug comes and bites me on the arse and makes me feel like shit. Then I berate myself for getting angry and frustrated with him and feel ashamed for resenting all the sacrifices we have to make. I've had a cold for a month and both ds and dd have had sickness bugs this week so I am exhausted and run down. Once I shake thise bloody cold and get some sleep I will be back to a more Saintlike supermummy

Does anyone know why it is that these sickness bugs always seem to be at their worst in the middle of the night I could cope no problem with copious vomiting during the day but its always in the middle of the night!

SaintRiven · 26/09/2008 13:02

I still struggle with knowing that dd would be 'normal' if I'd had a c-section.
