ooh a sn rugby team - ds would love that I'm going to see if any of my local clubs do something similar.

dustystar · 25/09/2008 14:35

Maybe if I could only get him to run around playing rugby he would be miraculously cured eh

dustystar · 25/09/2008 14:36

Thats if i could be bothered to make the effort to take him instead of just drugging him up for an easy life

coppertop · 25/09/2008 14:42

Don't you have any trees that he can climb?

dustystar · 25/09/2008 14:43

PMSL

don't frget to up the huq quota too- its us cold mummies that cause ASD you know!

Must be true

they said it in the fifties

dustystar · 25/09/2008 14:48

Sadly peachy they were still saying it in the 70's Maybe i could combine a quik hug with getting the meds down him - 2 birds with one stone and minimum effort from me

Peachy · 25/09/2008 14:56

quick hug on a beach??????

coppertop · 25/09/2008 17:30

So you'll just have to find a tree on a beach, climb it with him and hug him when you get to the top.

I've cured ASD and ADHD and it wasn't at all difficult.

PMSL CT. You could be their new 'expert'

coppertop · 25/09/2008 17:47

I shall start on my article immediately:

"Twenty years ago I was inside a school and saw a child misbehaving. I knew at that it was caused by lack of discipline and lazy parenting. I sent the child outside to climb a tree. They fell out of it and broke both legs but there was certainly no longer any sign of hyperactivity and running in the corridors. The child was able to sit still for several weeks with their plaster casts on. If only more parents would give their children a chance to climb trees instead of drugging them, the world would be a happier place with fluffy-wuffy clouds and no more old ladies would be mugged. ADHD, my lavender-scented bottom!"

Buckets · 26/09/2008 13:43

J goes to drama classes. Not poncey stage schooly type ones - called Helen O Grady classes (national chain) and the emphasis is on communication/social skills and building confidence.

He loves it. Obviously, he has to take a 1:1 play worker person with him or they wouldn't have him, but he really joins in (apparently) and gets a bizz from going.

If you are looking for SEN activities, I run an inclusive school (London Music Box)- all ASD and mainstream students, ages and levels are welcome!
