Anyone else taking equasym XL for ADHD

My Ds just started taking this on Friday. I have noticed a slight change but not anything dramatic. He is not a whirlwind , just fidgety and restless, his main problem is his inattentiveness. I have noticed that he seems to be able to process instructions better and he seems to be a bit less impulsive but the change is not major. He is only on 10mg. This seems to be a pretty small dosage from what i have read on the internet. Am i expecting too much too quickly but I had thought the effect eas pretty immediate. Anyone elses Dc taking this and if so did you have results quickly. Also what dosage are they on? I am seeing the paed in another month or so and it seems a long time to be doing a trial. Would it be awful if I gave him 20mg to see if it made any difference? Apparantly the max dosage is 60mg a day ? Are 2 10mg tablets the same as 1 20mg tablet? Any experience welcome. TIA

@TSCmum we always find that when our DS changes or alters medication there is always a 'settling in' period of a week or so. Our DS has been on this medication for around 6m and it's been the best one so far he's improved massively at school in his time frame.

Sorry not that medication I misread! Settling period has always been the same for him for each type he's tried though.

Does she drove you mad because she was in need of the medication (addition) or, because she went back to her old ways?! Asking because I'm a bit resilient in giving this medication to my child.

DS has just started. He's 13 and in Y8. How did it help your DC, if at all, in KS4? Any tips please? Thanks
