Anyone recommend a grown up toothpaste that does not taste too strongly of mint?

I am looking for an affordable readily available toothpaste that does not taste strongly of mint. My 10 year old autistic son will not move on from Milk Teeth by Macleans and says the ones we use like Crest, Macleans or Colgate "burn" his mouth. Any suggestions please. Thanks

i use aquafresh 'mild and minty' and it's nice and mild, I'm in agreement with your ds, most toothpastes do burn my mouth and make me feel quite ill.

The Arm&Hammer bicarb one is nice, more salty than minty - have a look for it in pound shops as it's quite expensive in supermarkets. I too have hated mint all my life, worst is Spearmint eeeeugh! Can just about manage Colgate Sensation everyday.

He could also just use a sprinkle of bicarb on his toothbrush!

Toms of Maine Fennel

My DS hates mint toothpaste AND the fennel one, so we use Sainsbury's fruity one which has a raspberry-ish flavour

Our dentist says a child's one is fine even for adults as long as it has 1000 ppm fluoride or more, you have to check the packet.

Thank you everyone for your help = this is the first time I've used Mumsnet and I am so pleased.
