im really worried about how he will do. If he does really well then im obviously a paranoid mum who has been making everything up. If he does badly i will finally have a label for DS which although its what i want its going to be heartbreaking too.
DS has the test at 2pm tomorrow and i have to go for the ADI-R next tuesday then doctor will write the report and DX within 10 days.

No TCD her initials are HM and she is scottish. She is currently travelling doing short placements in different counties, i believe she is off to Derbyshire next! She is trained in Cambridge and is doing research and training over the UK, Ds will be used as a training tool!

am feeling sick to my stomach about tomorrow. DS kicked off big style yesterday in a freezer shop! We had made a mad dash round it as had DS with us and at tills he went into overdrive and ended up screaming and yelling and hitting his head, he was screaming he was fat and ugly and he wanted to die it was horrendous BUT what made it worse was the looks i got and the tutting old men and sniggering teens. I swear if Doc says he is not ASD i dont know what i will do.

Hiya...been away for a while so was really glad to see your updates. Just wrote a big long message and it all disappeared but the gist of it was that I'm 99% sure you'll get the right ASD dx tomorrow. What the woman said about her dx opening up the right type of school sounded really positive.

Fingers crossed for you and will be waiting to hear!

xx

Arrrgghhh...J's eating well (which I hoped for) but is very rude and violent (which I didn't). Blood results are still poor so have been referred to a paediatric consultant by the psychiatrist for that and the failure to put on weight and bruising, clearly the way to go for referrals as it only took a fortnight for an appointment to come through!

So now we have CAMHS psych, paed, OT, SALT, behaviour support, social services support...so it feel like a whinger to still be saying 'but it's so so hard'.

Still getting 2 sessions a week from play worker and that was very much needed this week after 2 weeks of 24-7 J on holiday, even down to sharing a bed!

He didn't find the holiday relaxing, but did enjoy it (loves the beach, even a wet British one) and got very obsessed with the hoover that belonged to the holiday house . Bless him.

Good luck for tomorrow!

crikey givemesleep, your name really does suit you right now doesnt it!
DS is thankfully off to childminder again this morning which has been a god send this holiday! I am at breaking point after 3 days with him so respite really has saved his life!
I feel sick to my stomach about today. I am scared they will say he is just naughty and also scared to hear that he has ASD. I am shaking already and appointment is not till 1.
I am close to tears and really am not sure i want to go at all although i will go and i know what ever i hear will be what is best for DS.

OMG i cant believe this day has arrived.

good luck - im certain that it WILL NOT be a case of 'naughtyitis'. You would not have come this far - you'd have been ditched by the professionals months ago if it was just that.

but {{{HUGS}}} for today, perhaps a bottle of wine, big bar of choccy, for tonight on the shopping list today? Will be thinking of you for today. love n hugs. XXX
