Sorry, me agin, being boring, but................
That little girl ................
She's just so great.
She's spent the day today climbing on and over everything. It's just great.
She climbed onto her little stool today and lay across it and then pretended to be be swimming. She got down off the sofa, not the way I've shown her, obviously, but in her own way, even better!
D was off work today, as was I and it seemed really obviuos that she was thrilled to be with us again and she went into show-off overdrive, she was just so funny.
So that was it really, just so happy about the non-stop climbing.
Don't you just love it when you turn another little corner.

Oh and one more thing I have to tell you....
I love that she won't cry. I'll explain...... she was naughty today and because her dinner was served to her too hot, she got annoyed cos she couldn't tuck straight in so she flung it across the room! I shouted 'Charlotte NO, that was very naughty, you don't do that'. Her bottom lip stuck out and quivered but she just refused to cry. She was talking little short breaths as she was really trying not to cry, and didn't, and I just loved her for it. BUT she is such a little madam and when she'd finished and there were a few things left on the plate that she didn't want she took the edge of the plate, lifted it up, looked at me, did the big wide eye look and just stared at me, testing! I looked at her and said 'nooooo' and she let it gently back down and did her mad little 'ha haaa' laugh.

Proud gush over....... thank you!

Go TC!

Why she chose Down's syndrome I don't know, but I can't let that one go, I just can't. Out of order in my opinion. Funny, i so desperatly try and steer clear of one on one rows on rows of any sort, why did she have to mention special needs at all?

TC - I think because its 'lazy' in a way - an easy one to get the kick in and know its going to land.

I agree totally out of order.

But really someone like that really isn't worth bothering with!

Thanks girls, I really appreciate your posts.
I'm not massively upset, just goes against the grain to let that comment slip through. I work too hard trying to educate people about DS to let that piss-take comment go, I wouldn't be being true to myself. i don't want to row but I don't want to ignore that comment either, it wouldn't be right.

yes she sounds just like our madam who is starting to test her boundaries... we often get the look to check we are watching before she then does something she knows she is not supposed to do!!
